Bahuchar Mata Temple, Becharaji
Bahuchar Mata Temple (also called Bahucharaji Mandir) is one of the most revered Shakti temples in Gujarat. It is located in Becharaji town of Mehsana district and attracts millions of devotees every year.
Although it is not officially listed among the classical 51 Shakti Peethas, many followers consider it a powerful Shakti Sthaan due to the temple’s ancient energy, myths, and miracles associated with Goddess Bahuchar Mata. According to traditional lore, Bahuchar Mata was born into a Charan family. When dacoits attacked them, she chose to end her life rather than be dishonored. Seeing her sacrifice, the robbers repented.
